weight). Barley ß-Glucan is
a natural viscous
polysaccharide (fiber)
comprised of individual
glucose molecules that are
linked together by a series
of beta (1-3) and beta (1-4)
linkages.

Numerous scientific studies
have demonstrated the
positive effects of ß-glucan
on helping maintain
cholesterol levels that are

In general, high viscosity
ß-glucan is believed to work
by increasing the viscosity
of the contents within the
intestinal tract. Binding of
bile acids is one of the
